Rutland Babe Ruth is for 13- to 15-year-old players who want to continue playing beyond Little League. Rutland teams are entered in the Wachusett Babe Ruth League, which also fields teams from Spencer, North Brookfield and Barre. Wachusett Babe Ruth features a 15-game regular-season schedule. Additionally, once the regular season is completed, players are selected onto separate 13-, 14- and 15-year-old All Star Teams, which compete in District level tournaments with potential advancement to state, regional and national tournaments.
Babe Ruth baseball is played on the larger baseball diamond (90-foot diamond as opposed to 60) and adhers to Cal Ripken rules. Home games are played on the Babe Ruth field behind Naquag Elementary School, as well as some away games when not facing another Rutland team; away games against non-Rutland teams are typically played in Spencer, North Brookfield and Barre.
